As many of you may know, Los Angeles Fashion Week is underway. And just yesterday, fans of Hollywood style were treated to a catwalk session by new reality star Kim Kardashian.

The socialite and daughter of OJ Simpson lawyer Robert Kardashian took over the role of celebrity strutter for 2 B Free, a position once held by hotel heiress Paris Hilton.

Once in the spotlight, Kim soaked it all up - strutting in ensembles ranging from a purple cocktail dress to a gray suede tracksuit.

Now, Miss Kardashian can only hope that her new television show ”Keeping Up With the Kardashian’s“ is as successful as her runway venture. The reality series debuted last night, and now it’s just a matter of waiting for the numbers.

Jennifer Lopez Reveals Secret of Staying Private

When it comes to constant appearances in the tabloids, Jennifer Lopez and her husband Marc Anthony avoid them at all costs. And the “Jenny From the Block” singer recently revealed her tactic for steering clear of prying photogs.

Lopez said that it’s all about keeping private things private, and being smart about where you go. She told press, “When we’re out there, it’s ‘cause it’s part of our work, but you won’t catch us hanging out at some random place with paparazzi following us ‘cause we don’t let them. And we have such a tight circle of friends, we don’t have people calling the photographers saying, ‘Marc and Jennifer are coming here’.”

And J. Lo learned from her past failed relationships that were a bit too public, that she needed to guard her marriage to Marc. “From the day Marc and I met we’ve always had amazing chemistry, but the timing has to be right. We established early on that our relationship was not for public consumption.”

The “Waiting for Tonight” singer even offered some advice to her Hollywood peers… “You don’t have to go where everybody goes; there are a million other places that are great.”

Vanessa Hudgens Disses Paris, Britney, and Lindsay

In a move that some may see as questionable, High School Musical hottie Vanessa Hudgens has become pretty vocal about her distaste for Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, and Paris Hilton.

Apparently the teen actress thinks she could’ve handled the paparazzi much better than her above named Hollywood counterparts, and she isn’t afraid to voice her opinion.

Nessa cited her prescription for avoiding the prying lens of the paparazzi… staying away form locales that are known for celebrity sightings. She told press, “I honestly think it’s stupid. It’s easy to stay out of those situations.”

But some might say that this is a case of the pot calling the kettle black. If Hudgens has it all figured out, then why were nude images of her leaked all over the Internet? Maybe it’s all a little more complicated than she realizes.

Britney Spears’ Casa Escobar Breakdown

Well, it appears that all the talk of Britney Spears planning to check into an Antigua rehab facility over the weekend was just that… talk. The sad part is, she really could use it.

After recently losing physical custody of her two sons, the Gimme More singer was spotted out last night displaying a taste of her signature erratic emotional behavior.

After running errands around town, including a stop at Ralph’s supermarket, the troubled pop tart decided to stop at Malibu’s Casa Escobar for dinner with a pal and her yorkie, London.

According to onlookers at the scene, she repeatedly kept saying “I love you, I love you...” to the crowd of photogs, before entering the restaurant.

And when she re-emerged from the eatery, “she stumbled across the parking lot looking worse for wear, only to get into the passengerside of the car and start crying and sobbing.”

Meanwhile, in more positive news, Britney’s mother Lynne attempted to reach out to her beleaguered daughter this week, telling press, “Just want to say, I love my daughter very much.”

Hopefully Ma Spears can help straighten out her daughter’s life… at least a little.

Natalie Portman Has Her Hands Full

Just last week, guys all over America were lining up to see her naked in the latest Wes Anderson short film Hotel Chevalier, and last night Natalie Portman paid a visit to the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

The Garden State goddess was hanging out at Stanford to speak on microfinance and global poverty. Looks like Angelina Jolie isn’t the only one making a difference these days.

Portman took part in a roundtable discussion regarding microfinance and the necessity of young people’s involvement in social action.

After such a departure from her Hollywood norm, Natalie will be returning to what she does best in a new movie called “Brothers.” Tobey Maguire and Jake Gyllenhaal are also set to star in this remake of the Danish movie Brodre.

Britney Spears “Gimme More” Finds iTunes Success

Just two days after being released on iTunes, Britney Spears’ latest single, Gimme More, has jumped to the number two on the hot songs list.

It should only be a matter of time before her latest release overtakes Crank That by Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em for the top spot - and the response has given the troubled pop star incentive to get back into the studio.

Just yesterday, Britney was spotted visiting a Burbank recording studio with cousin Ali Sims.

The two made a pit stop at Acapulco Mexican restaurant before showing up to get some singing in - with Britney emerging with a CD of new material to work on.

Anna Nicole's lawyer sues author over sex claims

Howard K. Stern, the lawyer and former companion of Anna Nicole Smith, has filed a $60 million lawsuit against the author and publisher of a controversial book about the late actress for libelous claims.

The lawsuit says former U.S. television news anchor Rita Cosby's book "Blond Ambition: The Untold Story Behind Anna Nicole Smith's Death," details false claims including that Stern had a sexual encounter with Smith's former boyfriend Larry Birkhead and exploited her February death.

Smith died aged 39 of an accidental prescription overdose in Florida. Her death sparked a legal battle over custody of Smith's daughter between Stern and Birkhead, a Los Angeles photographer.

"Defendants have exploited Ms. Smith's life and death by publishing false and defamatory factual accusations against Howard K. Stern," said the lawsuit, filed on Tuesday in Manhattan federal court. It seeks $10 million in compensatory damages and $50 million in punitive damages.

A spokesman for Hachette Book Group declined comment on the lawsuit, and attempts to reach Cosby were unsuccessful.

The book was published in September and has been listed on The New York Times bestseller list, the lawsuit said.

Smith, a former topless dancer was once married to late billionaire oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall. Her death touched off a battle for custody of her daughter, Dannielynn, who could one day inherit a fortune if her late mother's estate wins the right to inherit some of Marshall's millions.

Birkhead, who has also denied the allegations in the book, was declared the father by a Bahamian court in April after DNA testing.

There was plenty of star power on hand at the opening of a new Los Angeles Intermix store yesterday afternoon.

From Kim Kardashian and Kanye West to The Hills co-stars, Lauren Conrad, Audrina Patridge and Whitney Port - the Robertson Blvd shop was the place to see and be seen.


Intermix has been growing in popularity amongst the Hollywood crowd, which comes as little surprise.

New York Fashion critics gave a glowing review for the boutique, telling, “(Intermix) provides a wide-range of the latest European and American fashion styles with smaller fashion-forward labels like LaRok, Mint, and Ya Ya hanging on the rack next to some of the industry’s biggest names—Chloe, DVF, and Michael Kors.”
