Lohan out of rehab: report

Lohan out of rehab: report
Lindsay Lohan has left a drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility wearing an alcohol monitoring bracelet after completing a 45-day program, People magazine reported.
The actress, who celebrated her 21st birthday in the rehab facility in the posh seaside community of Malibu, is now attending an outpatient program that includes Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, counseling and daily testing, Lohan's publicist Leslie Sloane said in a statement on the magazine's Web site on Sunday.
"In part, she is wearing the bracelet so there are no questions about her sobriety if she chooses to go dancing or dining in a place where alcohol is served," Sloane said.
"She's doing great. Lindsay is working hard on her sobriety and we are all supporting her," she added.
Sloane told People that wearing the ankle bracelet was a "voluntary" decision by Lohan. The spokeswoman was not immediately available for further comment.
Lohan checked into the Promises Residential Treatment Center in Malibu in late May after crashing her Mercedes-Benz convertible and being arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence over the U.S. Memorial Day holiday.
Lohan shot to stardom in Disney films such as "The Parent Trap" and "Freaky Friday," and she has moved on to more adult roles including playing the victim of a brutal kidnapper in the upcoming movie, "I Know Who Killed Me."
But her hard-partying ways have often overshadowed the young star's talent. Last summer, the producer of her movie, "Georgia Rule," publicly took her to task for staying out late and not appearing at the movie's set on time.
Late last year, the tabloid New York Post ran a picture of Lohan and friends Paris Hilton and Britney Spears out partying at night under the headline "Bimbo Summit."

ROLL CALL: Ashton's Magic 'Room' & Britney's Puppy Love

SHE'S A SLAVE FOR DOGS: Britney Spears is reportedly in the throes of "puppy love," as PEOPLE reports that she purchased a $3,000 Yorkie dog this weekend. According to the report, The pop star and her bodyguard headed to Pets of Bel Air in the Glen Center in Bel Air on Friday, and left the store with the dog in hand after only half an hour. A Pets of Bel Air shopper reportedly told PEOPLE that an "excited" Britney went straight to the dog section, where she asked to see the Yorkie. "She picked up the dog and loved it right away, she was incredibly nice and very pleasant," the shopper reportedly said. Spears' latest pet is reportedly named "London." Britney's Yorkie joins another recent addition to her animal menagerie: a $19.99 parakeet she picked up at a Petco last month.

MORE ANTICS FOR ASHTON: Ashton Kutcher's television empire continues to grow. His production company, Katalyst, reportedly has 20 TV projects and about a dozen feature films in development, THE NY DAILY NEWS reports. The executive producer of MTV's "Punk'd" is about to take practical jokes to the next level with the debut of his new MTV series, "Room 401." The show, premiering tomorrow night at 10:00 PM (EST), revolves around unsuspecting people walking into horror scenes created by magicians and illusionists. "We saw a video of some magicians doing some hidden-camera magic," Kutcher, 29, reportedly told the NY DAILY NEWS. "We said, we can do that better than anyone.' We've had a ton of experience in the hidden-camera space." As for the inclusion of magic in his latest project, Kutcher said the idea was inspired by the art of filmmaking itself. "I like magic a lot," he is quoted as saying. "Film is magic, really. We all go to movies and watch things that blow our minds that we never thought were possible. We see things on TV we believe for that brief moment in time. That's what moviemaking and television-show-making is about: Taking things just beyond reality." Producing for TV isn't the only thing on Kutcher's plate -- he's also reportedly planning on playing a substitute teacher in "Miss Guided," a midseason series he's producing for ABC about a guidance counselor.

LINDSAY OVER-EXPOSED?: A fresh-out-of-rehab Lindsay Lohan may have been in the public eye this weekend as she hung out in Vegas, but THE NY POST's PAGE SIX reports that there may soon be more of Lindsay exposed than she'd like. According to the report, Lohan is afraid that nude photos taken of her by former flame Calum Best have been stolen by an alleged computer hacker and will wind up on the Internet. In a posted email exchange on CELEBSLAM.COM, In what Web site owner "Nick" claims to be a G-mail chat between himself and Lohan, Lindsay accuses Nick (or one of his friends) of suggesting that he had the photos in his possession. Lindsay supposedly wrote: "All I know is that someone broke into my computer and left a file on my desktop saying he got the pictures Cal took from me naked." Nick denies that he broke into her computer in the posted exchange. When asked about the alleged photos, Lohan's rep, Leslie Sloane Zelnik, told PAGE SIX, "Anything is possible. I know nothing about it, but her lawyers have been contacted."

LUNCHTIME LOVE FOR 'BETTY': The title character of "Ugly Betty" is about to get some love of her own, as former "Six Feet Under" star Freddy Rodriguez joins the cast as a new love interest for Betty, played by actress America Ferrera. THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER reports that Rodriguez will join the cast of the hit ABC show for its new season in the role of "Gio" (short for Giovanni), a smart, ambitious, aggressive and lovable blue-collar guy who runs the office sandwich cart and prides himself in making each sandwich a work of art. According to the report, it won't be long before sparks begin to fly between him and Betty. It is not yet known if Rodriguez will be a cast regular, or a recurring featured player.

A BIG 'PHAT' HEADACHE?: While "Betty" welcomes a new addition, a celebrity diva is trying to lighten her load by selling her palatial estate. THE NY DAILY NEWS reports that Kimora Lee Simmons, a model-turned-mogul who runs Baby Phat fashions, is selling the New Jersey estate she bought with ex-husband Russell Simmons in 2001. The only problem is, there are reportedly no interested buyers. The sprawling Saddle River estate, featured on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" and MTV's "Cribs" and on sale for $23 million, has had no serious offers, according to broker Stephanie Rosken of Prominent Properties Sotheby's International Realty. The "gorgeous home" reportedly has 10 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms and two pools, but unloading it has apparently been a challenge. Rosken's Tenafly, N.J., office has received more than 1,000 calls and e-mails about the mansion since it went on the market March 13. But "they are all from those who are curiosity seekers" hoping to get into the luxurious digs, Rosken reportedly said. The mansion reportedly features an indoor swimming pool, 15-seat theater, wine cellar, exercise gym, dining room with gold-leafed ceiling -- and a bathroom with a marble and gold toilet.
