Miley Cyrus Readies For “The Best Of Both Worlds” Tour

Disney star Miley Cyrus is going on tour this fall. The teen sensation is busy preparing for what’s sure to be an interesting show, as she’ll be performing the dual role of herself and Hannah Montana (her Disney alter-ego) for the first time.

The current schedule for the 14-year old rising star calls for 54 stops on the tour, titled “The Best of Both Worlds.” Tickets for the concerts are being released in batches, with the initial push containing the first 17 dates immediately selling out upon release. Meanwhile, tickets for the remaining dates are scheduled to go on sale starting September 15th.

"It’s pretty exciting,” says Debra Rathwell, senior vice president of tour promoter AEG Live. “It’s very fast-selling. She could go around the country for two years and not meet the demand. There is that much pressure from the public for tickets.”

Part of the mass appeal for the concert is the support that Miley gets from her co-star, country singer and father, Billy Ray Cyrus. Billy Ray is able to tap into the adult audience that watches Montana with their kids.

“Little girls simply must come, but so do one or both parents and little brother,” according to Billboard touring editor Ray Waddell. “So instead of selling one ticket per household, this tour has the potential to sell two, three, four or more.”

With her latest album release soaring to the top of the billboard charts and selling over 1.1 million copies, Miley’s success is already being compared to the cast of High School Musical and the Cheetah Girls, both of which filled better than 90% of seats.
