Vanessa Hudgens Wants Lawsuit Dismissed
Hudgens was spotted out on Friday afternoon visiting a friend's place in Hollywood.
It was announced earlier today that Vanessa is closing in on a deal with Disney to star in the third installment of the hit movie series, High School Musical.
Along with the HSM3 announcement, the 18-year-old actress is asking that a lawsuit filed by her former attorney, Brian Schall, be dismissed - as she was only 16-years-old when she signed a contract with him.
According to court records, papers filed by Hudgens' new lawyer, Evan N. Spiegel, tell that California's Family Code "provides that the contract of a minor is voidable and may be disaffirmed before (age 18) or within a reasonable time afterward."
Schall is contending that "he helped her earn more than $5 million by advancing her funds for her songwriting and recording career," going on to say that he has not been paid what he's owed.
